HOME SCHOOL FRIENDS & APPLICANTS

At Newnan Classical School, we are Home School friendly. We recognize there may be a need in the home school community for assistance and support from time to time. Therefore, we welcome home school families to draw from our Classical methods and resources by developing a mentoring relationship with us.

Furthermore, we know there may come a time, as home school children grow and mature, when it may be more appropriate to provide them with an alternative educational environment. At that point in time we hope to offer our school to the home school family for the continued education of their child. Some home school families actually do both at the same time, by having some children enrolled with us and educating their other children at home using classical methods.

For those home school families who do seek admission to NCS, our requirements have been adjusted accordingly. Please follow the general requirements for the appropriate age group with the following exceptions:
· Teacher recommendations not required.
· Please identify a non-family individual who knows your child well and who can reflect on your child's ability to succeed in a school environment.
Examples may include, but are not limited to: a co-op teacher, a tutor, a Sunday School teacher, Awana Leader, Scout troop leader, coach, etc...

For those home school children who have not used Classical Home School curricula and are without Latin or Logic experience, NCS may arrange to give additional instruction. NCS currently offers a summer school program which focuses primarily on such topics as Latin, grammar and excellence in writing.
